Must Reading. Ira Stoll's "Future of Capitalism" blog is always must reading for anyone interested in business rights. So, how to phrase this: MUST READING . Stoll's blog post today is a review of Christine Richard's new book Confidence Game, which reveals how investors can exploit journalists, regulators, law enforcement officials, and politicians--and the intricate web of personal friendships among them--in order to further their speculations.

SEC Hands Tourre 9,000,000 Pages . Is this another attempt by the US Government to overwhelm its victim's resources? Goldman is paying Tourre's legal expenses , despite the fact that it is cooperating with the government. But just the processing of assisting his lawyers with nine million pages is going to push Tourre to his limit, perhaps softening him up for a plea bargain. And how is he supposed to earn his living while sifting through this massive document dump?
